Handball is an international team game in which a team of seven players pass the ball with their feet to the opposing team using their hands at the side. The object of the game is to throw the ball into the opposing team’s goal.
A standard game involves two periods of thirty minutes each. The team that scores more points wins. The rules of the game differ slightly in some countries but in general the object is for one team to win the game. The game has been adapted by different countries so that it has become very popular.
In the first period of play the team is allowed to pass the ball without touching it to the other team’s goal. As the team passes the ball it takes the corner kick. After the first period the team may pass the ball towards the opposite team’s goal only if it touches the opposing team’s goal area. If the ball is passed in the direction of the opposing goal it may be shot from any distance. After the second period the team may pass the ball towards the other goal only when it hits the opposite goal area.
Passing is usually done by the goalkeeper or the sweeper. The keeper can pass the ball either to a player who is standing behind him or to another sweeper who is standing ahead of him.
Handballs must be thrown using the hand and not the wrist. If the goalkeeper uses the wrist he may be penalized. It is important for the sweeper to throw the ball as fast as possible.
Each team has five players who are competing. The team has three defenders, three attackers, and one goalkeeper. The attacker is the player who attempts to shoot the ball. He tries to shoot the ball from about thirty meters.
If the attacking team scores first they win. If the defending team scores first they get to keep the lead. If both teams score equal goals, the winning team will keep the lead and that team is awarded the game. The losing team is eliminated after the winning team scores the same number of goals. as the losing team in the first and second periods.
In different nations the rules of handball are slightly different. It is difficult to find out the exact rules in all countries. The above rules are the most common in most countries.
A match can be won if two or more players score more goals than the other team. The players on both teams try to score in the same area. When one player scores, the other player tries to score against the player who scored. The sweeper is also called goalkeeper in this game.
There are a few rules that can be broken but one should keep in mind before doing so. One can use their head when playing handball. However, when it comes to kicking or passing it is important to keep the head down. If one kicks at someone who is lying on the ground, it may cause the other player to fall over.
When playing handball there are a couple of rules which govern how the team plays. It is important to have a whistle. The referee is responsible for giving the signal for when the players must stop playing.
There are two types of rules for team play, free play and controlled play. Each team in a team must play for at least ninety minutes. The free play period is the time when the team is allowed to play as much as they want. The controlled play period is when the team is allowed to play for a set amount of time.
When playing the free play period one team is considered to be a goal and the other team is called opposition. In a team game a team that has more players on the other team is considered to be the goal. In a team game there is one goal for each team, one for each player in that team.
